The Saskatchewan Chapter of the Wildlife Society is pleased to announce our upcoming networking event: The Wildlife Society Conservation Expo, taking place on the 31st August 2017 from 3 – 6pm at the Mackenzie Art Gallery in Regina.
The networking event will let Saskatchewan wildlife professionals interact and share information through an informal poster session and social mixer. We also plan to have two keynote speakers to begin the event. Snacks will be provided and there will be a cash bar.
This event is free for all SCTWS members. Membership can be obtained at a cost of $5. To register for this event or for more information please RSVP to email@example.com. We also invite you to submit a poster presentation title with your RSVP. We request that all poster presentation title submissions are received by August 1st 2017. Should the number of poster presentations submitted exceed what we can accommodate, titles will be picked by our executive to ensure a broad range of topics and groups are represented, thus if you are part of a research laboratory or a group that are collaborating on a project, it would be advisable to submit one or two poster presentation titles that would encompass all your work.
There are no strict guidelines for posters but you’re encouraged to bring a non-technical snapshot of your work, emphasizing management implications and “big picture” inferences. Conference sized 3x4 posters are suggested as we won’t have the space for trade-show style booths. Free PowerPoint poster templates are available online at sites like this :http://www.studentposters.co.uk/templates.html.
